The Metsies re-hired Omar Monaya as a special assistant to the GM. Is it weird to hire a GM you fired to be the assistant to the new GM? Seems a very Metsian things to do :lol:

:lol:  it is weird thought, right?  to make the old GM who everyone seemed to hate the assistant to the present GM??

the old Chunky Chucker has made his money and is just happy to stay on a contender where he's comfortable.  Kind of like Werth signing back here at MLB minimum as a 5th OF corner backup and RH pinch hitter.
