Nothing just smaller and cheaper- its meant to be used with a stereo system instead of being a stand alone speaker

The Echo cost nothing.  Ok, we had to drink a bunch of wine and eat dinner at Cooper's Hawk, and also lug out a portable Bose speaker my wife also won, but other than that was no cost.   :P

It also has bluetooth, but not sure how I connect that to my receiver.  There's probably a device out there somewhere I can use to connect them.

Just download the app and go to bluetooth settings on your bluetooth device.  It should show up there and you can link it.

Link to what?  My receiver is 20 years old, bluetooth did not exist at that time.    :old:

I would like to access the 2m songs but would much prefer to crank out the jams at proper volume when I get a few minutes alone in the house.   :metal:

Can't help with that.  Sounds like you may need new speakers.  I hardly ever ship anything Amazon so not worth it to purchase Prime to just access the music.  I may ask my son-in-law for his prime password.

Only one device can access music at a time.  I was listening on the Echo and tried to connect my laptop at the same time and  :nono:

So my son had a wire with the 3.5 plug on one end (Echo) and the red and white jacks that fit into the sole remaining inputs in my receiver.  The output volume is a bit weak but the receiver has more than enough to pick up the slack.  It works pretty well.  Nice to extend the catalog by a few million songs for free.

My wife loved it...which is all that matters...  ;)

I recognized 3 songs that I liked...the rest, not so much.  The light and pyrotechnics show was overwhelming...made it difficult to see what was going on.   :old:
