Oh that band was soooo good early on, listen to "Boy" or "War" even "October" had moments, he was just such a passionate singer I freaking loved him. It's funny though, "Joshua Tree" and all the albums that came after War that were crazy popular never did a thing for me, but man those first three were some killer records.
There are groups/acts that I can listen to and never understand the mass appeal. They're technically good. The vocals are solid but I just don't get it. At this late point in my life, I've come to the conclusion that I'm not a fan nor do I have enough time left to become one.
