NHC should have listened to the SHIPPS model sooner, their latest update says that Nate will hit around the LA/MS border as a Cat-2 storm.

There is always one model that nails the prediction on a storm. But usually changes from storm to storm.

storm is currently traveling at 26 MPH, unless there some sort of drastic slowdown it should indeed pass by quickly.
