More rain in a day than we've had all year?  Looks possible.  That exhibition game tomorrow is a NOPE.

Keeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeriste, no wonder my electricity went out around 1:45 PM.    That Herndon location ain't far at all.

A weather service survey team from the Sterling, Virginia, office concluded that tree and fence damage near the intersection of Builders Road and Crestview Drive in Herndon was the work of a tornado. Based on Doppler radar data, the weather service estimated that the tornado was on the ground around 1:36 p.m. A tornado warning was in effect for the area from 1:26 p.m. to 1:45 p.m.

Started its route near my niece's home in S. Arlington (near the golf course).    Blew across the river to the Tidal Basin.    Somebody has it in for the whole family.    :)

Incredible scenes of flooding from Arkansas and Missouri:

Another 5" of rain on its way.

This is when we see who the losers of the levee wars are.

The Atacama just had rain.

It rained this morning in western Prince William County. We're getting heavy storms this evening.  I'm trying to remember the last rain-free day.

Just checked Wunderground: 6.80 inches of rain so far this month (not counting today).  Average is about 4.55 for the month.  I'm guessing we got at least another .25 to .50 today.  Measurable rain in 16 of the last 30 days.
