I didn't take you for the snooty type who would support UVA over Tech. 😏

Cincy has a good chance to do some damage. The news here over weekend focused mostly on Northern KY. They are right across the river. Will have to take in a game there next year since the arena is supposed to be nice. They play KY so they won't be in it for long.

Hardly snooty but I am hard headed.        I'm not sure what it is with VaTech.    Maybe it was Beamer and Greenberg but it goes back further than that.    Maybe I consider it outside the "local" area.     UVA only because it is in the ACC.     Before I moved here, the ACC was a foreign entity controlled by agents of NC.    So, when I chose teams to follow, Maryland (one) and SC (two) were the teams for me.    When SC bailed out, I started to pay attention to VA (though I do consider them snooty).

I confess that I used to root for UVA over VT when we first moved here. But then son ended up going to Tech. Always liked Beamer.

I used to like Bobby Knight 'cause he played on those OSU teams in the late 50s/early 60s.         He lost some of his luster with his antics later in life.

Which lower seeds are you guys putting into the sweet 16? Leaning towards Middle Tenn right now, but a potential Butler match-up would be tough.

So are we but we know our limitations and that's the key.    We'd have to end it quickly   ...   Cal has 20 some years on Chaney.    BTW  Chaney coached the men at Cheyney State while a young lady who was in college with me coached the women.

I won my office pool  few years ago, the year Kentucky beat Kansas in the final. I actually had that exact final. Won something like $200.

Haven't come close any other year. Although I do remember the year Mason made the Final Four I made a joke bracket with them winning the whole thing that actually would have scored more points than my real bracket.

Thanks for the lineup Mitlen. My brackets had no selections for the first four. Turned game off with Providence way ahead and I see they blew it.

Btw, VT has two Prince William county kids in the lineup:  Seth Allen from Woodbridge and Justin Robinson from Manassas. Most of the local schools in play today.

Don't blame ya. UVA plays some ugly games. They came back and are up by one at the half. Butler looks good early. Not impressed by ND so far.
