I wonder if Coach K will lift Grayson Allen's suspension at half time. He looks contrite to me on the bench.

They all do after the crime.

Beat down by the Hokies. Good way to end 2016. Now. On to football.

Yep, just watched the end of GA Tech/KY split with Liverpool/Man City.     Ready for the big boys now.

I don't have any stake in the games but the son in law will be cranky tonight if Bama loses.  Or more to the point he will probably be in shock.

Big Maryland basketball fan. I've come to the realization that Mark Turgeon is not really a good coach. Great recruiter but not much of a strategist or motivator. For example, his team today against Nebraska didn't seem ready to play and did not play with much emotion and were outfought for loose balls for most of the game. And then down the stretch they blew a huge lead simply because Nebraska wen to a 1-3-1 zone and Turgeon absolutely had no answer.

He lost the game today. Embarrassing coaching down the stretch allowed Nebraska to get back in it and ultimately win.

Big win for Big Red, though. Webster made some huge plays down the stretch. Maryland was pretty lucky that the kid who averages 7 ppg went off for almost 30 or that game could have been really ugly.

:lmao:

Kevin Huerter was a top recruit and is probably our second-best player, but sure. But yeah, pretty much everyone besides him stunk up the joint today.

No, it doesn't. UMD was up by nine with six minutes left and went utterly, completely cold. Didn't score another point.

Good D for those last six minutes and good win for Nebraska, but your analysis was completely flawed.

Doesn't it?  :poke:

That's how basketball works.

Ah, gotcha, thanks for the heads up. ;)

Seriously, if he was't shooting lights out, they would have adjusted and somebody else would have gotten the shots and maybe got hot.

Six minutes without a point. Much of that was a Nebraska D that they seemed unable to deal with (without their two best centers), but six minutes without a point is just ice cold. It happens. Tip your cap and move on.

Men have the 5th longest home winning streak in the country (19).  Of course, none of those home wins are against a power conference team because it isn't worth it to play in Payne Whitney for them (we always schedule power conference teams away).
