Brussel sprouts are OK if seasoned properly. Otherwise, it's like eating cardboard.

Eel, yea or nay?.

American eels are indigenous to the middle atlantic, and catadromous* to a surprising extent.  Eels get around.  Most people who have been around the bay would have seen eels caught on hook and line, but might be astonished if they lifted up a stringer of smallmouth bass in Harper's Ferry to find eels munching away at the captives.   I have seined up 4" ones in Paint Branch on the campus of U of Md, amidst shopping carts, stray bricks and other urban refuse. 

For decades there has been a solid eel fishery on the lower Potomac.  These used to be exported to England primarily but not sure where they end up now.  I am a bit skeptical of water quality on the lower Potomac and thus would advocate for a strong export market, and don't want them on my plate.

Agreed. They are delicious or can be made delicious  easily.  just pick your condiment or seasoning.  Not much nutritional value. Definitely not hate worthy

I don't like clams, oysters, mussels, octopi, squid, or any other weird sea business.

Scallops are cool. Prawns and shrimp are fine. Crab and lobster are accepted with thanks. But I don't like all the weird shelled stuff or tentacles.

Not really big on glazed ham. My wife likes to serve it at our annual holiday party and I won't touch it. You know, that spiral, honey baked ham....I just pray that there are no leftovers after tonight.

Also, scallops. For years I would order scallops maybe 2-3 times a year and think I got a bad bunch. Nope, all scallops taste literally like garbage to me.

Sour cream, buttermilk, and most sour dairy just makes me want to dry heave.  I've never understood the point of eating something that tastes so rancid.

If I want something creamy, I'll use a good bechamel or mournay/cheese.  If I want something tangy, I'll go with some lemon/lime juice.  Don't need to taste something that seems almost rotten to get those flavors.

problem with scallops is that, unless you are in New England and either personally know who the scalloper is or it is Legal's, odds are pretty good you are getting monkfish cut in a circle.  Bay scallops (the little ones) rock, but ocean scallops usually are just monkfish.
