What food/drink do you dislike and why?

Thought it would be interesting to hear others' stories about what food/drink they don't like and why (no booze stories ).    For the longest time, it was coffee for me. 

Back in the day when kids played outside, I came into the house to get something to eat/drink.    I looked in the fridge and saw a glass of the Pepsi colored liquid and thought, "What could go wrong with that?"    You can imagine the surprise a 9 year old had after taking a big swig of "Pepsi".    Keeeeeeriste, it was worse than the first cigar I smoked.     Honestly, I never drank coffee again til about 10 years ago.   Kept havin' flashbacks to that day.    I'm still not into the fancy cold brewed, etc. stuff but have come to appreciate its attributes.
 
Natsinpwc mentioned his aversion to Pop Tarts.

I caught the flu right after I had eaten some pop tarts. Right when they first came out. Couldn't even tolerate their smell for years after that.

I got food poisoning from clams. So there were two things I couldn't eat for a year or so.

I don't eat organ meat. Well, I don't eat *any* meat anymore, but I never ate organ meat.

My grandfather was a butcher and he was very proud that his family never had to eat poor people food.  My father was snobbish about it based on that.

Amen.    I have never tried liver (IIRC).    Mom put it out there and I acted like I had diphtheria and had to go lay down.    Pops was strictly a meat (non-organ) and potatoes man.    Therefore, so were we.         To this day, I don't eat fish if it ain't shell fish (unless it's Mrs. Pauls  ).

My mom made wonderful chopped liver, i still eat it on occasion, but yeah, liver and onions is nasty, as is liverwurst.

 Fresh cucumber...*shudder*.  Why, I don't really know...could be the corpse-like texture, evil fragrance, and overall malevolence.

I like liver and onions but went nearly 30+ years without eating it due to cholesterol paranoia. I'm also cool with sliced tongue cold cuts. 

Food I can't stand?  I hate biting into a good chocolate and finding out it has cherry-flavored liquid in it.  I like Cherry Garcia, but those things :spazz:

People never understand this, but I hate mashed potatoes. I don't know what it is. When I was younger my mom would force me to eat them and I'd throw them up. I wasn't allergic, just can't take the taste/texture.

I feel the same way about lima beans.   In fact, I feel that way about mushy beans generally.
