NLCS Musings - Cubs v. LAD
« Topic Start: October 12, 2016, 08:04:48 AM »
yay, the cubs get 3 days to reload so even if the Nats advance they will be spent and facing off a fresh team but hey we get a prime time slot. :?

@holdenradio Cubs manager Joe Maddon doesn't care who they play in the NLCS but states, "Washington's a shorter plane ride". #geographyfacts

They will lose their edge during the long layoff allowing the Nats to take one of the two games in Wrigley.

Without Strasburg we needed to win last night to reset our rotation. We're going to need our offense to step the freak up!

I'm not worried; Roark and Ross have some huge cojones.   But, we'll cross that bridge when (if?) we come to it.

Thinking Maeda gets game 1, Urias 2, Kershaw 3, Hill 4?

I don't know what it's like in the east coast, but if the Cubs win, their fans will become insufferable. Just as insufferable as any Yankees or Red Sox fan (minus JCA, of course) you've come across. Go Dodgers.

Will become? They've been that, if not more, all year long!

Mutually assured destruction and then an AL sweep.

Even without the balk, Urias looked horrible last night.  he was about 50/50 or worse on balls and strikes and was bailed out of a big inning by Senley.  I thought he got bye by the skin of his teeth.  Not impressed. Patient hitters will destroy him.  I think Kershaw goes in game 2 and Hill gets game 3 on normal rest.

Dodgers just paid back the run they got on Thursday. They owed it.

I don't see any way the Dodgers can beat the Cubs more than one game. Same for whomever wins the AL. If they lose it truly will be a major choke job.

Welp, looks like the Dodgers blew their load against us, as expected.
