You're irrationally blinded by how bad apparently Darling was before, he's terrific now although definitely better when he doesn't have two stiffs in the booth with him.

Damn skip, you're tough today (yesterday too).

I'm listening to him now not a tape of him 12 years ago. Did you hear what he just said when talking about Estrada. :wtf: He makes the same mistakes he made 12 years ago. And he adds little to the booth. Plus, who is irrationally blinded? You're the one who makes judgments based on looks. I don't care how many times during a game Ron Darling gets stiff. That's your department.

I think her thing for Darling is he's a Connecticut school attendee.    :)

I like the Indians. I'd prefer to see them win it over any of the remaining teams.

Agree here.    On a lot of levels, I'd like to see the Indians win.     My choices in order are:

Indians
Dodgers
Jays
Cubs

Darling and his booth are consistently ranked high compared to all other broadcasting teams, I'm telling y'all when he doesn't have to compensate for the losers he's stuck with at TBS he's a good listen.

http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/2016-broadcaster-rankings-tv-10-1/

Quote
3. New York Mets
Main Broadcasters: Gary Cohen, Ron Darling, and Keith Hernandez
Ratings (Charisma/Analysis/Overall): 4.7, 4.5, 4.7

Three Reader Comments
• “A subtle but important part of the broadcast is that the three know their limits…. What’s more, [they] seem to genuinely like each other. Letting the others speak isn’t a chore and comes out of a genuine curiousity of what the others have to say.”
• “Their analysis doesn’t get too deep into sabermetrics, but they do provide rational scouting and mechanical explanations for things that happen in the game.”
• “They don’t spout old-school nonsense about complete games, clogging bases, or unwritten rules of conduct, nor do they glorify the ‘back-in-my-day’ approaches to the game.”

Alot of bozos on here like FP and Carpbombs, too. Ranked #26 on your listing. Not sure if that helps or hurts your case...

One day fangraphs is going to say something you disagree with about one of your pet players and I'm going to laugh at you.

I don't even know what that site is, just googled "best MLB broadcasting booths" because I know the Metsies are always ranked high due to the stellar work of one Mr. Darling :mg:

They may also be rated high due to the size of their market.     It's all about the money.     Keeeeeeriste, the Yankees have that throat strokin' Sterling.    No competition there.

What happened now?

Streaker ran on the field just before the bottom of the ninth started.

They still think it's 1975.
