Alaska was $1 in the thrift store. Figured it wouldn't hurt to give it a try. Who wrote Sarum?
Edward Rutherford- basically a Brit mitchner
Once again the D did not show up in the first half. 74 points given up.
That's when I bailed out.
Had to "google" this Rudy Gobert character.
He's good. Especially at defense. May be the best in the league. Their whole team is good.
Sloan ... one of my favorites. Played on my favorite Bulls' teams. I got to chat with him on one of my visits to Utah ... him and Rod Hundley.
Saw one NBA game in Chicago...Sloan, Bob Boozer and Stormin' Norman were the big Bulls guns, IIRC...
Took three young kids (10-12 at the time) to meet some of the Bulls when they played the Bullets in the late 70s. Funny story ... we were along the sidelines and the Bulls were doing their pre-game shoot around. We chatted with Van Lier and a few of the other guys. They were in warm ups ... shoot around stuff ... cutoff shirts, etc. So, we get back to our seats a little later and the Bulls come out in their game uniforms. The kids wanted to know when we were going to meet the Bulls. They didn't recognize 'em in their game unies.
Kids... I forgot about Artis Gilmore...I was his body guard for a personal appearance in the mid/late 70's. I don't recall anyone showing up...
That was one big dude.
Good game. Just couldn't make the plays at the end.
Watching the game, I got to thinking that the Wizards (more than any real good playoff team I watch) seem to lose concentration for extended periods. Post season worries me.
Trivia. Who was the other seven footer who played with Gilmore on the Jacksonville University Final Four team?
The other guy was only 6'-11&3/4"
