That's heartbreaking :(
Hopefully it will end up like baby deGrom's post-birth complications; Jacob deGrom was also moved from paternity to bereavement list, due to unspecified complications with the child's birth, but as far as I know, the baby survived and eventually was discharged home.

That's good news. Perhaps they could come up with a better name than bereavement leave then. It means death.

Castillo put out a message on Instagram that his baby is "out of danger" and they hope to be able to bring him home "soon." Which is wonderful news.
