Not NHL...but the USA Juniors beat Canada for the gold tonight!

Came back from 2 goals down  ...   twice.

Game winner in 2010 I believe. I fell asleep when it was 4-2 Canada. The Canadian fans must be suicidal today getting beat on their home turf.

The Blackhawks acquire forward Michael Latta from the L.A. Kings in exchange for defenseman Cameron Schilling.  Latta will report to the IceHogs.

Not sure which emoji to use for this...

Islanders are likely heading to Quebec City after the 2019 season.  It's kind of sad that the refurbished Nassau colosseum is too small.

I'm aware.    I got the impression with imref's post that Nassau was somehow back in the mix.     During Caps games, several of us have talked about the funkiness of the Barclay's design.    Appears it's more than "skin deep/cosmetic".

Oh, no. Nassau is too small, it's kind of sad, actually, because they probably would continue to do fine in the refurbished arena, but it's not profitable enough I guess.

I feel bad for Islanders fans, they're about to lose their team to Canada.

I thought the article made a lot of good points about the fan base.     Nassau was drive-able and "intimate" with great history.     Barclays kind of fits the Nets history  ...   here there and everywhere.     Islanders, not so much.     Odd thought, maybe some Isles fans will become Quebec City fans a la Expo fans and the Nats.

All that said, I'm glad Canada is getting another team's worth of its national sport, And that it's not going to some other small, snowbird city in the south.

<20 to go to pass Moose for #2.  He'd need to play another decade to catch Gretzky though.
