Slapshot had better be able to play D.  Maybe suit up a Red Rocker.

Honestly, just trade one of them to make up for the off-season losses

Grubauer has almost zero value this summer. Teams that needed/wanted a goalie already got one. Best-case scenario is he plays well this fall/winter and a team suffers an injury and wants him. He's a good player, so hopefully that can help us out once Trotz is canned in December.

I read that as "caned", like what happens to people who fart in public in Singapore.  Perhaps not a bad idea?  I guess corporal punishment isn't all that unusual in sports (like Livo junk-punching rookies in the dugout)
once Trotz is canned in December.

Man, I miss Livo. I bet he could hold down a middle relief job and a 3.50 ERA right now.

Saw him at Spring Training. He looks like he still could, in a Bartolo Colonesque way.

He is  a large, large human.

Meanwhile, Filip Forsberg is orienteering and living off the land on a diet of berries and freshly caught fish.  Crosby is paddling around and checking the beaver traps.  Only Ovie is acting like a louche mudak.

Good for Sasha.  Brooks Laich can have his post-hockey life of boinking a starlet and appearing on the cover of People...28 is gonna be doin' non-ferrous metallurgy!

Went to 16 Caps games last season...13 at home at 3 on the road - Toronto, Nashville & Tampa...drove to all those games...lost 2, won 1.

I renewed our partial plan for 5 games this year.  Most excited for the Golden Knights game on Super Bowl Sunday so the fans can welcome Schmidty back...sucks that GMBM left him unprotected.

Not going to the Blackhawks game on December 6th...at least not on this plan.  I may solo it so that the remaining Capitals fans in my family don't bludgeon me when the Caps win...as they always seem to do against the Hawks.

No pressure but this would be a good start for the Washington Capitals (2017-18)
