I cannot even imagine the amount of shadiness involved in selling this team for 1.6 billion dollars.   They draw 20,000 (probably only half bought their tickets or even show up) per game and get 30,000 people watching their games on tv.   Forbes values them at 600 million, and a lot of that is because of revenue sharing, national TV and MLBAM money.

Selling it for a billion dollars over a probably inflated just doesn't make any sense unless it is part of a greater scam.

It's all about ROI - radio on the internet!

Sounds like a great money laundering opportunity.

I'm not even sure I want to know...

@MarlinsPark
Update: We have suspended use of our home run sculpture for the time being & are monitoring #RallyCat, who appears to be safe at the moment.

A black cat was wandering around the sculpture. Hid inside it.

Oh wow, they could've just reached down and scooped it up but the security guy was too scared :smh: hopefully they've got someone with a clue out there tonight getting control of the situation, that cat looked terrified at the end of that video :(

It's a cat. The security guy realized it's a kill-or-be-killed situation. He did the right thing. ;)

I'm sure the cat is getting fat on palmetto bugs, hot dog ends, Clevelander refuse (hey, where else would they throw it but under the statue), and fan vomit.

I'm sure they'll be fairly conservative when it comes to signing free agents.
