...NOT...http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/early-lead/wp/2016/05/24/near-the-bottom-in-mlb-attendance-the-marlins-are-now-suing-ticket-holders/?hpid=hp_regional-hp-cards_rhp-card-sports%3Ahomepage%2Fcard - lawsuits against STH who allegedly bailed out of multiyear contracts, and much else besides (a good article overall).

NL's lowest per-fixture attendance at 20,647 despite flirting with .500 much of the year....

Id love to see a class action by the remaining STHs seeking compensation for the removed promised amenities

Turn that park into a college football field and move them out of Miami (after removing Loria, of course).

I went to the Hurricanes/Sooners game at the old Orange Bowl when Oklahoma was #1 and Miami was #3 going in.  Pretty epic.  Vinnie Testaverde's Heisman year.

As a Steelers' fan, I miss Vinnie Testaverde.

Marlins post tribute to Muhammad Ali during game, saying he died. Media jumps on Marlins, saying he's not dead. Marlins respond that they're confident the story was true.

...Jeffrey Loria broke the news about Muhammad Ali dying.

Remove Loria, send them to Montréal. Full circle.

The Rays can then move to Miami and give the city a more reasonable franchise.

The Marlins have 2 World Series titles in the last 20 years.  Only SF, NYY, Boston, and St. Louis can say the same.

...but what good was it really when, after each of those Series wins, the team was almost thoroughly dismantled?

Exactly. Could have built a perennial contender. Won once, sold everyone, expected the fans to keep coming.

Doesn't either MLB or NFL prohibit multiple pro sports team ownership?

$1.6 billion. Loria made 10X his money in 15 years. And got away with backloading his contracts until the new owner takes over.
