Baseball is a weird, weird game. Get beat up by the Phillies at home then pound the Cardinals in Saint Louis.

The last week is proof why it takes 162 games to figure it out.

FP made an interesting observation.    St. Louis is now the 3rd best team in the Central.    KC and Chicago will be the test of this road trip.

This Cardinals team in the long run will keep the Pirates and Cubs busy but right now they're not playing very good baseball. Still, to sweep any team on the road, even a bad one, is quality work.

Royals traveling home from the West Coast tonight is definitely to our advantage. If the lead holds and we sweep the Cards, we only need to win 2 more on the whole road trip to keep it to a .500 trip. 3 days ago a .500 road trip looked like a pipe dream but now, it seems a lot more manageable.

BTW the Braves are currently beating the Cubs 3-1.

Six outs. You and Spidernat are doing some serious, serious chicken-counting.

Edit: Five.

If anyone bet $5 on that in Vegas last week they could probably buy a private island.

The Cards came in to this series as the highest scoring offense. Held them to six runs and still swept despite Bruce going 0-11
