I think I know what the problem is. Baseball players/coaches are too arrogant to realize some games are unwinnable. They think they have a chance in every game so sacrificing one game makes no difference because there's another game the next day they can win.

This team needs a "keep it real coach. The coach that would tell Baker you have no chance to win a game against Jose Fernandez with Roarke starting for us. That changes everything about how yesterday's game is managed.
