seriously. where the heck did he come from? I never heard of him before and he's their 5th starter.

They got him for Ken Giles. He has pretty awful command normally but that last start was impressive.

his first start was pretty good too. shut out the mets over 6 ip and 9 k's. his highest innings pitched in a season was last year at like 89 I think.

throws hard, trying to prove himself on an awful team, never been pushed anywhere near the innings he'll get this year.
hmmmmm....

When is his consult with Dr. Andrews?

Can't wait for Revere to get back. Would be nice to be able to swap MAT/Werth in and out of the lineups

Would have been fun if the Caps were playing in Philly this weekend, could have pulled some double duty road trips.

The Rockies just beat the Cubs 6-1 so the Nationals now have the best record in baseball.

Think this will change for tomorrow afternoon?    Has Harper had "a day off" yet?

Lobaton will probably play in Wilson's stead tomorrow. Other than that, I kind of doubt it. No off day for Harper yet.

Charlie and Dave were talking about a lot of subs tomorrow.  Robinson is slated to play 1st.  I'd expect Heisey in LF, obviously Lobaton behind the plate.  Maybe Drew at SS and den Dekker in CF.

Day game after a night game and a lefty heavy lineup against a pitcher who's got a consistent 50-point split to the advantage of lefties (lefties batting .281 over the last 3 years vs righties at .239, with the trend in 2016 even a bit more lopsided).

Cheers for Dusty keeping bench Nats playing more than just pinch hitting.
