Totally! I couldn't agree with you more. But just like you said in the other post Girardi didn't want to come here, neither did Pinella, and Acta was probably desperate for a shot at being a skipper so he takes the job. Unfortunately he took a job where success will be hard to come by, at least this season, and he may wind up being the scapegoat when all is said and done. At some point our team will improve and they'll be lining up to manage our club. But hopefully the FO will reward his service by giving him a legitimate shot at managing with a real chance.

Lou? He's an idiot. I can't believe that clown has a job outside a circus.

Zimmerman's prolonged slump continues.

 I still love him :)

He might be the scapegoat as far as the head office is concerned...but I think most people know what kind of peice of crap they gave Acta to work with.

We should have a contest of who can find the best smiley face to represent the way we feel about our team.

Absolutely but I have a feeling that's just what will happen.

Am I correct in saying that after 3 of our first 4 batters reached base, we have not had a base runner?

Since he's managing the Cubs, he actually IS running a circus...

If Zimmerman is going to STRIKE OUT, send him to Prince William County to STRIKE A MATCH and RID US OF THAT CURSE!!!!!!!!!!!

Why would he go multiple innings with Wagner but not Speigner?

Yeah, that's because Hensley the only frickin' stinkin' pitcher the Nats could actually hit got HURT in the 2nd inning and went out of the game - so it's one inning after another of the best bullpen in the bigs - how great is that? I mean really .... maybe the Pads should just pitch their bullpen every night ...

That's insane.

Speaking of the Cubs, Soriano has put together a couple of nice back to back games. Just in time for the Nats to hit the windy city.

Because Acta felt we needed a pinch hitter to spark our offense...

You never know, but I have the impression that most of the pitching decisions are by design and not really a surprise. They said up front that some pitchers would be pulled early. And at the same time, they want to leave a guy like Chico out there to take some lumps and maybe leave him in a little longer to see him try and battle back out of trouble. It's a lab experiment in so many ways. God knows tonight's lineup is. We may see Fick's days numbered as well as Casto v2 (see Langerhans trade, etc.). It's hard not to believe that Fick dealing with his dying mother hasn't affected him. It's sad.
