Maybe... but what if AJ is being truthful and he hasn't put Gallows and Anderson up to attacking Reigns? It could be Balor, Gallows, and Anderson versus Ambrose, Reigns, and Styles. Balor is a step down from AJ in all aspects on the BC side, but it'd still be a damn good feud.

so there's a rumor floating around that Guns and Gallows will turn on Styles and align with Reigns (who turns heel) at Payback.  Those three, with the Uso's form a "Roman Empire" stable.  Styles will lead a counter-stable consisting of himself, Rollins, Balor, and Ambrose, setting up a program this summer.

reports are that Balor suffered an ankle injury, they went to a quick finish and the ref threw up the 'x' sign indicating an injury

The injury was a work. He got a curtain call and was fine.

So I saw an interesting point brought up somewhere. Samoa Joe has a ready-made title feud coming up soon. Hideo Itami has been teasing that he is close to returning and in story, they accounted for his injury by having him be attacked by an unknown assailant in the parking lot way back at Takeover: Unstoppable. It has long been assumed that if they ever revisited that story that Balor would be the one who did it, but it so happens that Joe debuted that night as well and ever since he showed up, he has always been intent on winning the title above all else, so he attacked Itami because he wanted to eliminate the guy he felt was most dangerous.

! No longer available

kind of disappointed that Anderson can't use the "machine gun" nickname anymore.  Guns and Gallows no more.

Raw ratings:

1st hour: 3.26
2nd hour: 3.18
3rd hour: 2.94

The 2015 numbers for the same week for comparison:

1st hour: 4.10
2nd hour: 4.13
3rd hour: 3.87

This is roughly what Sheamus was pulling as champ over the holidays going against football and nearly a million viewers lost in one year. This is catastrophically bad.

This probably means Styles isn't winning on Sunday.  The hardcore fans love him, the mainstream...not so much.  Get ready for the return of John Cena.

He was never gonna win anyway, but the trend has been going downward for the past couple of months. I can't remember the exact number or timeline, but they've lost roughly 400,000 viewers from the male 18-49 demographic over the past couple of months and AJ hasn't been in the main event picture for all of that time. And it's not the casuals tuning out. They're long gone. By this point, especially considering the demographic they're losing, it's hardcores who are leaving. Reigns has that much go away heat. Del Rio and Sheamus get cheered for beating him up. Hell, Del Rio got cheered in freaking Hartford, Connecticut on Monday. That ain't a smark haven being wacky or a town with a large Latino population. That's a casual audience that has decided as well that they just don't like him. Reigns is the next Sheamus; a capable big dude wrestler who is incapable of connecting with enough people to last as a top guy. Also, Cena isn't getting back in the title picture yet. They'll hold off on that until Summerslam. Probably a decent shot he gets the US title back, which explains why they're going back to Ryback vs. Kalisto; it's to get the belt onto a heel for Cena to beat.

since this is wwe. I fully expect Anderson and Gallows to come out and attack Roman, but Styles pulls them off him saying "He doesn't need their help". Then Gallows and Anderson hit the Magic Killer on Styles and Roman spears him for the 1...2....3...

that's the rumor.  Styles works much better as a heel though.

Enzo amore knocked unconscious in tonight's tag match. He was trying to slide under the ropes to go outside but caught the bottom rope and smashed his head badk on the edge of the ring. They stopped the match.

Reminded me of Perro Aquayo when he passed last year. Snapped neck and all. Hope he recovers.

Concussion, but he seems to be okay and on his feet in a photo Owens tweeted from the hospital. As far as the rest of the show goes, it was pretty solid. Corbin should not have lost, Nattie/Charlotte had a goddamn idiotic ending to lengthen this terrible feud and Jericho/Ambrose wasn't very good, (At least Ambrose won) but it was otherwise good. Owens/Zayn killed it, Cesaro/Miz was good for the length of time it got, Kalisto/Ryback was very good, and Reigns/Styles was really freaking great. Nothing much was decided conclusively, so we'll have to wait until Extreme Rules for a lot of stuff to happen, but that's fine.

I think everybody was expecting 1. Balor to debut and screw over AJ  2. Gallows and Anderson to screw over AJ and join Roman or 3. Anderson/Gallows/Balor help AJ capture the WWE WHC. Obviously option 3 would never happen. but i was holding out hope that it would.

Btw... "The Guy" has to be the worst nickname they've ever come up with for a wrestler.

I don't think No Way Jose has much of a shelf life. He's a taller Fandango.

EC3 showed up at Evolve with Galloway, so it looks like not only is the speculated loss of guys like Hero and Galloway due to the increasingly close relationship Evolve has with WWE not happening, but they have brought in another TNA contracted guy for a major angle. Very interesting.

ROH went full WCW. No ending to the $45 PPV. The Bullet Club came out and killed everyone instead. What a joke that company has turned into.
