I thought the Eagles one left something to be desired. But see if they get into the history of Chicago and all the groups and individual performers that were in its sphere. that was the fascinating part about the Eagles documentary, and Chicago was really influential.

Too much band politics, not enough music.

But all the people surrounding them... man. Personally, I liked the film clips of Linda Rondstadt best. Sigh. What a babe.

Kennedy Center honors were fantastic tonight. tributes to the eagles, James Taylor, mavis staples, al Pacino, and some concert pianist I'd never heard of.  Performers included Bonnie raitt, kings of Leon, bob Seger, Steve Vai, and Darius Rucker. Find a stream.

My wife and I are going to see Taylor and Raitt at Nats Park this summer.

On our vacation in Ireland this past summer, it was astonishing how many of the bar bands we heard covered Rucker's "Wagon wheel".  Pretty much all of them.

EDIT:   Not really Rucker's song, though he popularized it to a great extent.  The song actually has an amazing history, 85 years in the making with Bob Dylan and the Old Crow Medicine Show getting it off the ground from its blues roots.

I made an edit.  I am a Dylan fan but had no idea he co-wrote the song.

"Wagon Wheel" reminded me of Lou Reed (different song though).

Haven't heard anything from the Stones I didn't like yet.  Love the return hard to their blues roots.

What was he in for?

Light sentence for possession.
