The Hits/B-Sides collection is one of my favorites. I've been searching for a solid copy of the S/T LP. There was a rumor it was getting repressed this year. While I'm not a fan of raiding the vaults after an artists' death, can you imagine the stuff that's in his (literal) vault?!

I'll never forget bouncing along in a rattletrap bus full of goats in Zimbabwe with the driver singing 'Raspberry Beret' at the top of his lungs.  That was the thing about Prince...his crossover appeal knew no bounds.  A skinhead in a Skrewdriver shirt I was shooting pool with put 'Little Red Corvette' on the juke.

I wasn't a "fan" of Prince but man did his music get 'em off the wall when I DJ'd at a club in the late '80s.

RIP Prince. Super talented. We are losing too many music talents these last couple years.

His guitar work on this one was amazing.

It's a Pro-Ject Debut Carbon: http://www.project-audio.com/main.php?prod=debutcarbondc&cat=turntables&lang=en

I like it. Wouldn't mind a new cartridge, but until I have a larger speaker setup, it doesn't really matter. Only going through Audioengine a5+

I might have to crank my stuff up this weekend.    I haven't done a good album run through in a long time.   I like doin' an album playlist on the fly.   Reminds me of my DJ'ing days.    What a rush when ya get it right.     Rock 'til the missus yells, "Are you deaf?   Turn it down."   Of course, I can't hear her with the headphones on.    So she comes down stairs, sneaks up on me and scares the sh** out of me.    That's when you take off your headphones and say, "Yeah, I'll take a beer."    She shakes her head and goes get me one.    :)

I gave all my vinyl to a buddy when we left Hawaii 31 years ago.  Not sure it would be doing anything but gathering dust, but...

My Buddy was killed in a motorcycle accident in California 10+ years ago.

I looked through mine the other night when I was on the Kinks thing.    I forgot some of the eclectic stuff I have.

Keepin' my vinyl is like my motorcycle now.    I don't ride it as much as I used to but when I do, I know why I have one.

(Sorry about your friend.)

Just so intensely talented.  They keep on showing his Super Bowl half time show with purple rain.  Extreme guitarist who could play with any of the g-ds of guitar but was not always associated with it. i love the Grohl story IMREF dug up.
