It all depends on what we had to give up to get him. He's a very solid player who has hit all throughout the top 5 of a lineup. Still solid on D and can swipe quite a few bases.

They almost replaced Yunel with Phillips...almost...for twice the price...and someone older who is sure to regress from last year...

That is completely ignoring the poor defense that Escobar provided and that he hit 60 points higher than he had in the previous 3 seasons. I think we would've all been talking about his progression if he had stayed here. He had a career year offensively.
