I'd have to google it but I'm thinkin' not as long as we think.
You were correct. 2011 and lost to Temple first round. Should have known that. More surprisingly in 2001 they went to the sweet sixteen before losing to Temple.

Much like Lemon and Matthau. Grumpy Old Men: the WNFF edition.

There's no such thing as a grumpy old man.   What you may refer to as a "grumpy old man" is an older man who's toleration for bull crap is minimal and he's not afraid to point it out to you.

I'm a couple years behind you but getting there.

Temple must have had a good program at one time.     :poke:

Thanks. It's good to have Mitlen and VA as mentors.

Oh no, that comes long before the bullcrap toleration phase.    When they do call you a pain in the ass or an jerk, you simply inquire, "What's your point?"

The one ref in the MD game looks like Scott Van Pelt.

Not a bad run by the Terps to take this down the stretch.

Might be worth noting that freshman center Diamond Stone set a rookie scoring record of 39 points for the Terps. Young fella might be starting to figure it out a bit.

I moved from basketball (waitin' for MD) to Gloria Allred.     :)

That's kind of similar to shingles.

And he'll probably go pro next year. Sigh. let's hope we get to keep him for his sophmore year, too.

Kids like him don't stay past their freshman year. Enjoy him while ya got him. A combo like him and Melo can carry you all the way to the Final Four.

There won't be any more teams like Gary's 2002 championship team.  One or two and done is where we're at now.

Blame the nba rules- why stay in college when the job you're going to college to get wants you

I watched the VT-UVA game; not the same quality but exciting; then turned on the Oklahoma-Kansas game; quite a finish.  Carpenter must be having fun doing the Okie games this year.

Nice to see Varun Ram get his career high - 5 points.

Hardest working Indian in college ball.

A desperation three-pointer by Sioux Falls’s Taylor Varsho gave the Cougars a 59-58 win over Division II rival Winona State—a team that had previously beaten them by 39 points—until officials assessed Sioux Falls a technical foul for celebrating the buzzer-beater that, replay showed, left less than half a second on the clock.
