Well, it's better to walk away disappointed than embarrassed.  It looked like K really coached his team as opposed to just the "let them play" at the start, and I've got a feeling there was a little bit of "we've had our win, what are we doing here?" to Yale's breakdown after the fairly even start (was 13-12 at one point).  Not much you can do when Duke shot 3s like they were doing other than hope they cool.  Sherrod really impressed me more today than in the past.  I've never seen Yale press before, and I thought that was a heck of a move in the 2d half that triggered the come back.

I was thinking when they started to press that you don't necessarily have to be good at it.    You do it to mess up their plan.     Yale is well coached.

James Jones is good and I'm glad the school stuck with him and he did not bolt.  It looked like in the early '00s that he would put the school to the top of the league, but then Cornell had a good run and Amaker showed up at Harvard, so we seemed stuck at 4th or 3d in the Ivies.  Harvard is supposed to have a heck of a recruiting class and they gained a lot of experience this year, while we lose 4 starters, I think.  But the kid Downey (44) is back, and a couple of the freshmen got minutes too, so there is hope.

'Twas a good run for them.

PRINCETON, N.J. -- The Ivy League is set to add another milestone in its storied history, adding men's and women's basketball tournaments to its slate of conference championships beginning with the 2016-17 academic year.

The League's Council of Presidents approved four-team tournaments in men's and women's basketball, with a one-game reduction for each team in the regular season. The tournaments will determine the conference's automatic bids to the NCAA Division I Basketball Championships.  The 2017 Ivy League Men's and Women's Basketball Tournaments will both be held over the same two competition days, March 11 and 12, at The Palestra in Philadelphia.

They will have to play a full game to beat Kansas. How is that for a platitude.

Look again, showing a pulse.

If this game is representative of how they're going to play in this tournament, they will be eaten alive by Kansas.

First two rounds had some great games and finishes. Maybe the best ever.  The next rounds should be good as any number of teams have a good shot at winning it all.  I would say about 12 of the 16 teams.  ACC has six teams in it.  Big Ten and Big Twelve have three each.

as a small school grad, I tune out once the Cinderellas are done unless there is a team that's fun to watch or just loaded with NBA talent still in it. Watching great coaching result in a 63-60 thriller doesn't do it for me

Love the first two rounds the best but will probably watch till the end. The college game has improved this year. Think they have probably cracked down effectively on all the clutching and grabbing that slowed things down. Will be some fun with MD and UVA still in it.

What I like about college is that there are so many ways of building teams.  Small schools can compete with teams that are heavy on upper classmen, while big schools can compete with blue chip prospects that leave early but are gifted.  Nice to see some balance, too, and there's room to coach.

Crazy shooting. That one hit the part where the rim attaches to the backboard and just fell in.

Went to high school with Arcidiacano's old man. He played basketball and football I think. Cant say that I knew him or that he was in any of my classes.
