I guess Valbuena shifts back to third full time until Moran is called up. First base is a bit up in the air now. Carter is probably best as a platoon guy and I don't know if Singleton will get another opportunity, so I wouldn't be surprised to see Houston go after a first baseman via trade or free agency.

A minor league reliever. Obviously, DE/Yuni > Jed, but that isn't much of a return

Yunel has to be the one to go out of those two. Espinosa is cheaper with a glove.

Chris Davis would be a great fit for them.

What a jackass. Terrible trade for the Rox -- thought they'd at least be able to flip him.

No idea. Teams are spending a hell of a lot more on lesser talent.

They out-dumbed Rizzo...

that's a lot of cash.   $30 million a year over the first 3 years.

Price even gets an opt out after 3 years to test the market. Wow.

A 34 year old pitcher with that many innings will totally opt out of a $30 million AAV deal!

Maybe the Mariners are planning the Cano-to-first move this year?

It has been interesting to see all of the moves Seattle has made this offseason. The team is already constructed in a vastly different manner than any team built by Jack Z. Probably won't translate to wins yet, but it certainly is a step in the right direction.

I look forward to catching about ten games next year.
