The game actually did matter IMO, I think we were 3 back of the Dodgers at this point with this weekend's series looming.  That's part of why keeping him in was so bad

He freaked up letting Max go out for the 6th inning. And then again in the 7th. Mike Rizzo could not have drawn it up any better. One run lead with Kintzler, Madson, and Doolittle rested and ready.

I’m asking this in all seriousness. Is it typical to bench a guy who has produced all season after two o-fer games? Even with a bunch of K’s. We will see what the lineup looks like tomorrow. People were calling for turner to be benched after one game. Wasn’t he hitting like .300 since he came back?
