I was fully ready to give up on Kuechel prior to 2014. In fact, I was annoyed that he got a rotation spot then, but he has clearly proven me wrong.

She's who they got to replace Schilling and I agree, she's pretty low key but it works with the other two.

As someone who has followed the Astros closely since they hired Luhnow, I am very happy to see the plan succeed. I hope they win it all, although I'm okay with any of the AL teams with the possible exception of Texas winning it.

This Astros being in the AL thing is still strange to me. Ah well, good for them. They were the punching bag of baseball for a while.

I love the Astros. They come across as humble and not entitled (unlike a certain other team...) and they seem to just enjoy playing baseball. Happy they won, but I would've been okay with the Old Man Yanks taking it too.

Them playing the Royals next is a Sophie's Choice for me. I'm a fan of both teams, but I think I'll have to root a little harder for the Astros.

The female announcer was great. Hope she's there for other games instead of the usual idiots they have in the postseason.

And seriously, Joe Girardi's press conference is such a stark contrast to the crap Matt Williams would spew.

The Yanks fans booing their players towards the end was brutal.
