You say that now from home but if that was Nationals Park you'd be worried he'd let the bat go and hit you on the back of the noggin.

You got my back.   :)

Pirates 1 game playoff exits in back to back years and lost in the NLDS to the Cards in 2013. I wonder how their fanbase feels. Similar to us?

They're in the playoffs. Our season ended several weeks ago.

They don't have two $100M broken down bums or a $200M pitcher on their staff...

does a 1 game playoff exit even matter really

Man that would suck. And why don't we have a pitcher that can dominate in a big game like Arrieta??

Nice thing is these are two franchises and fanbases that really don't like each other.

Rodriguez got more hits off the Gatorade cooler than the rest of the team did against Arrieta.

The 6th was fun tonight, and there was some drama when the Pirates loaded the bases.  I thought last night's game was good.

Was disappointed there wasn't more of a brawl though, that would have been great. Unfortunately all we got was

the Cubs lineup is stacked, maybe it's finally their year?

Who was it that was insistent that the Cubs would fold down the stretch because of their schedule and fail to make the playoffs?

Yeah but this is one of those old simmerin' feuds.    It goes back generations  ...   before the Nats, before the Mets, before the Dodgers and Giants moved to California, when the Oreos were the Browns, before WWII, before WWI  ....

On one hand I want the Cardinals get pounded senseless and for all of the fans to die at the hands of East St Louis best. On the other hand, the Cubs making the NLCS or WS would awaken one of the worst "fan" bases in the Western Hemisphere.

Agreed...this is one of the rare instances I would prefer the Cards win...then lose in either of the next 2 rounds.  Just as long as they don't get Harper's ring...
