And it begins. Both Wild Card games should be really good. Astros @ NYY on Tuesday and Cubs at Pirates on Wednesday.

Can't wait.  I'm honestly okay with all four teams so I'm not going to get too invested in the outcome, but I'd like the Astros and the Cubs to move forward.  Then again, the Pirates getting shutdown last year in the Wild Card was so brutal that I kind of want them to redeem themselves and win.  I loved last years AL Wild Card.  That was a great game to watch and I hope at least one of these games is similar.  I much prefer that to having one team dominate.

The pitching matchups are Keuchel v. Tanaka and Arrieta v. Cole

For the most part I just don't really care. Except for wishing the Cards to lose.

Guess we won't be seeing him pitch this postseason.

Um, yeah.  He must have done something truly crazy.  Or his ALT and AST are off the charts.

He probably wasn't on the 25 man anyway.

Yes he was. He was pitching phenomenally well the last month or so. Big blow.

Really?  Wow.  He got shelled the last few times I saw him.  I guess I missed that.

Matt Harvey missed a mandatory workout for the Mets. That should endear him to the fans more.

Maybe he was picking up Yankees tickets?  Or driving Cc to rehab.

I'm thinking Commissioner Gordon must have flashed the bat signal for him.

he's spacing out his workouts to last into the world series.

update - reports are that he got caught in NYC tunnel traffic and the team told him to turn around.

Imagine if it had been Jacob deGrom or Noah Syndergaard. Nobody would care.

I think that's fairly standard for missing or being late to a practice. Just that during the season or not in NY there is less focus on it. I am sure he will be able to afford it.
