If the plan is to play Trea at CF then he better start getting reps now. I'm against him changing positions during the season, but if the club wants to try it they have to do it soon so he learns all of the nuances of playing the outfield. It's not as easy as people think. I would rather see him playing a position where he is comfortable at and that is at shortstop.

Revere is absolute garbage as a fielder anyway. guy can't throw. yeah, judging fly balls isn't easy but I mean i will take treas .345 OBP 20steals from heron over revere's .277OBP and 10 steals. Revere is not in our future and doesn't presenet a better option right now. Just do it

Trea Turner is ready to step in and play center field for the Nats if needed

Dusty did say several days ago that Trea was already working on CF.

We need Turner's bat. If that means the occasional WTF defensive play in CF then so be it.

Rizzo to Rusty: "That guy's making $18M this season." "He's gotta be good then."

With Revere in LF & Harp in RF. Stupid fast OF. Defensively though, has to be one of the poorest. We'll see how the kid does out there. I just want his bat in the lineup

I don't know. Revere should be able to handle LF fairly easily and can also back up TT. However, I understand that a lot can go wrong too. I'm looking forward to watching though!

Revere is such a bad OF, though. It's incredible. LF is definitely not a liability though -- it's really the only place he should play -- because his speed will bail him out if Turner is good enough to not need shading to CF.

His arm is probably no worse than Revere's.  Both terrible. Hasn't really been a problem with Revere in center, middle infielder come farther out to take the cutoff.

Turner was below average in center tonight, but that's to be expected. I really rather have him at short where espinosa is brutal at the plate. But if the plan is to have him playing cf in the post season (if they make it) then he'll need the remaining months to master playing the outfield.
