_______________________________________ _________

Glavine is 5-3 with a 2.61 ERA over the last two seasons against Washington, and the left-hander hasn't allowed more than three earned runs in any of those starts.

He's on a similar run this season, having allowed no more than three earned runs in any of five starts. In his last outing, Glavine left with a 6-3 lead, but Atlanta hit three-run home runs in the seventh and eighth innings of a 9-6 win.

Washington's Jerome Williams (0-4, 7.77) is still seeking his first win. Williams allowed 10 runs - nine earned - in six innings in the Nationals' 12-6 loss to Florida on Sunday in his last start. He is 0-1 with a 6.48 ERA in two career starts against the Mets, but he has not faced them since 2004.

The win was just the Nationals' second in 15 games over the Mets at RFK Stadium. Washington hasn't won consecutive home games over New York since April 29-30, 2005 - its first season after relocating from Montreal.

He hasn't won yet, facing a guy with 293 career wins.

Yeah man. I think it sucks that we have to put up with this but what can you do. They are saying that he is pitching for his professional career tonight. His career may be over.

F*CKING MLB.TV!

I can watch every other game except the Nationals game (and the Red Sox game; I'm normally blacked out)

Maybe Jerome will fulfill HIS expectations tonight, not ours. So far so good.

David Wright has a brother at VA Tech, who had a class later that day in the building where the shootings occurred.  Mets FAIL to score in the 1st inning!

Tonight's game is on UPN-20 in the DC area.

Why would they blackout the Nats up there?

I wonder how many other people have made the same claim of having a class in that building 'later in the day'.

I think I saw ILRZ sitting directly behind the Nats dugout stalking Zimmerman before the game began.

This is BS. I hate scared pitchers. If he had gone after Valentin and retired him he would've made the next inning less stressful.

She already said she was attending and sitting there.
It's Stalker Night at RFK Stadium...

JW is at 38 pitches but no runs after 2.  He does have 3 walks - not good.

WHOA.

Yeah she did say that but she wasn't sitting where she said she would be sitting. She was in the front row sitting next to one of the ushers.

So you're near the area where the right field ball girl is situated? Not to sound gay but in case there is a foul ball hit to that area, what are you wearing?
