I think most of us don't even dislike him.   We simply want him gone.

Papelbon is obsessed with tagging runners out when there's no need too. Between that and the "Storen slider grip" I wonder if he pats teammates on the butt a little harder than most.

Someone needs to derive a statistic for fundamentals.  Not only should bases loaded no outs and not scoring look bad but you should be punished for it sabermetrically as well.

Same thing for not being able to hit Jerome Williams.

Holy crap.

Quote
Now, several Nationals players believe Williams won’t be able to grow even if the club brings him back for 2016. And this isn’t just one or two malcontents. These opinions span positions and experience. “It’s a terrible environment,” one player said. “And the amazing part is everybody feels that way.”

Look out below, this just in:  https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/nationals/manager-matt-williams-lost-the-clubhouse-will-he-lose-his-job/2015/09/26/5244beca-647b-11e5-9757-e49273f05f65_story.html

Pretty damning article.

So I fully expect him back next season.

Me too...we'll be lucky if he's not extended thru 2017...

That article was held up until the Mets clinched, posted minutes afterward.
