Don't get high on fumes and forget to start the GDT

Been there done that.    :)

well, beating the Phillies is always a #littlevictory.  Doing it with two Werth HRs is pretty sweet.

So, I see Doug Fister decided after being demoted that he still had a job and something to prove. Guess he isn't a weak minded pathetic piece of crap like some other pitchers content to ruin things for everyone else.

i'd like to see us sign Fister to a 1 year deal, i don't think he's done yet and he'd be a valuable long reliever and possible starter.

Fister is a starter. Don't know what happened with him but that can be said for the entire pitching staff. McCatty really shouldn't be around. Maybe with somebody else in that position he turns it around.

What?

Somebody tried to drag him into the Papelbon comments about the Phillies and he responded about it being a great win.   He didn't take the bait.

His first good answer of the year.

The CSN-Philly announcers were incredulous.

Agreed, and I'd like to know why the freak Fister wasn't called upon as our bullpen imploded multiple times over the past 2 weeks.

Ah, right right.

Make sure we have fewer runs than the other team at the end of the game, right?

Always put in the pitcher who can assure that.   ;)

2013 - 8th September (142nd match)
2005 - 9th September (142nd match)
2015 - 14th September (143rd match)
2011 - 20th September (152nd match)

I'm watching the replay on MASN (bottm of the 9th). Escobar ended the inning by hitting into a DP when Carp says he's leading the league in that department.
