MLB Scouting Report:Houlton's first-inning wobbles appear to be more than a statistical curiosity, as opponents have opened his last seven starts with runs. He tends to find a rhythm in the middle innings, but by then he is in a hole. He is winless since June 27.
Armas will face the Dodgers for the fifth time in his career. He is 1-1 with a 4.15 ERA against them. In his last start, Armas pitched six innings and give up four runs on six hits against the Marlins, who defeated the Nationals, 4-3. He struck out only one batter, but walked four.
