'Bama/Ole Miss was a pretty good game.    Don't know why but I enjoy watching Alabama lose.

Agreed on both counts...

I think it's likely because they are the essentially the Patriots of college football...without the cheating.   :couch:

For me, maybe it's because Namath chose Alabama over Pitt.    Of course, he probably couldn't get into Pitt.    :)

Nick Saban seems like the kind of guy that would look miserable getting blown by Nina Hartley.

The Stanford USC game was good but I fell asleep in the third quarter.

Lane Kiffin should play for the Nationals.

Well, if your theory is correct, if he was having an affair shouldn't his play calling have been better?  :mg:

Gunner Kiel got totally rocked senseless tonight. He's probably going to go the Clint Trickett route.

Nope, he's there for three more years since he signed a contract extension last year keeping him on the sidelines until 01 January 2019.  After that he's got a personal services agreement with VT to do something vague like SA to the AD.  Just enjoy the mediocrity while he's here, whoever follows is going to be lucky to go .500 for the following decade.

And to think they had a long run of putting QB after QB into the pros.   That sure has ended.   I think with an average QB they are a competitive, say average football team.  But they have nobody.

Let the freshman Gage Shaffer play. At least you can see what he's learned. Has a howitzer for an arm.

Didn't you guys expect something like this going into the big 10?

No, they were 4-4 last year and would have been 5-3 if not for laying an egg against Rutgers.  With a decent QB they are a solid, not bad but not great team.

But obviously they don't have a QB.

Terps are reportedly set to fire Edsell after this week's Ohio State game.  The line is 33, anybody take the "under"?

Wow, that's a high bar for him.    Playing at OSU  ...  number one team in the country.    Alum and Administration don't want much.

He has been fired then.

http://www.testudotimes.com/2015/10/8/9479531/maryland-randy-edsall-fired-football-coach-2015

"Nobody in the locker room would leave next year because Edsall is fired," the source told Ermann. "He doesn't have too many fans left in the locker room."

An insider told me during lunch about this and that the kids hate him...and I can understand...I don't care for him either, going back to his UConn or wherever he came from days.

Maybe they could cover the spread?  I think they could lose by 50.

"Edsall, who inherited a team that went 9-4 the year before he took over, has not recorded more than seven victories in a season and is yet to win a bowl game in College Park. He has a 22-33 overall record in his fifth season with the Terrapins."

I may be mistaken, but I thought they fired Fridge because he couldn't 'take the next step' or what ever cliche you want to use, Edsall has gone backwards, so not surprising, in season is though unless his presence is hurting recruiting

Edsall always struck me as a big dummy, so, yeah...
