I think if Hill can get through the middle of the order this upcoming half he will be in good shape for a CG.

This is already the game of the year for a Nationals pitcher.

A bitter joke, I know, but do realize that Hill's performance is made even better by the fact that it comes in Citizens' Bank Park.  That's a miserable pitchers' park, and he's doing the job so far.

You also have to consider the hot lineup he is pitching against.  The Phillies had averaged 7.8 runs per game over their last 5 games.  They won all 5 of those games as well.

So far (knock on wood) Hill and Bergmann are turning out to be exactly what this year's little "experiment" hoped for.

I wish we could say the same for Chico, and i don't really consider Williams an experiment.

Given a little more time in the minors, I think Chico will develop nicely.

I hope Hill can throw a CG, I'm not sure I trust our bullpen with a 4-run lead anymore :(

Ah crap he hit Utley...  is anyone watching on TV?  I wouldn't put it past the slimy Phils to lean into a pitch after getting fooled all game...

I don't think Chico should be on the roster right now. He belongs in the minors for at least another year.

Almost another DP, good slide by Utley.

I think we should call up Han or Bran. I've said it before, i just don't know what you guys see in Simon.

I'm worried were hurting whatever potential Chico might have by bringing him up this early.  He's never going to be King Felix, but he apparently had some talent, none of which is apparent this season.

Hanarahan?  Jesus, if you want a guy who throws up beach balls and goes the opposite direction of balls fielding toward him, then your welcome to him but I always thought we wanted that kind of pitcher on the OTHER team.

Nice catch Wilson.  82 pitches through 7 for Shawn.  I'd really like to see him go another inning (or maybe 2).  I don't really trust our bullpen at this point.  I doubt Manny is going to send him out there for the 8th though.

Way to work your way out of that one Hill. Now let's hope he can get through the 8th.

What is Manny going to do? Let Hill finish what he started, or put in JR for the 8th.

That HBP and walk made me nervous...  I'm not sure about leaving Hill in for the 8th, but I'm not really sure about putting in Rauch/Cordero either

*sigh*

We are going to have to show some faith in the bullpen at some point.

Hill has a gem going. I see no need to pull him without giving him the chance to pitch another inning.
