Bob Kraft never bought into the EPL because it was an uncapped league. Small wonder that the peak for the Revs was during the first decade of the century when you could just draft well out of college and populate your roster with Dempsey, Twellman, and Parkhurst and then sign a cheap Grenadan like Shalrie Joseph for your foreigner (also a college player). Now, with no real cap, I don't know how much they are shelling out for guys like Jones and Davies, but probably less than the more competitive teams.
