I started watching last year but think my fandom would be helped by picking a team to root for. Don't want to pick one of the top ones to be a front runner but would rather avoid picking the bottom feeders. Maybe I will just pick a uniform I like.

West Brom's not a bad choice (not the best uniform or logo, though). They aren't great defensively, but they will try to get forward against any opponent.

Tottenham's a safe choice if you want a team that will be in the top 10 just about every season. I like their uniform design.

Try to pick a team with a style you like.

I used to like the colors of the Canaries of Norwich City.

I think they'll be back in the Championship (second tier) next season. Nathan Redmond is going to be a star, but he'll be sold in the next year or two.

And if you want to pick a team come join me with Liverpool. YNWA! But be very very careful they will break your heart many times like the Nats :)

Shoot, we've had soccer threads for years.    Nats fans are well-rounded.   Gotta be.    :)

I've only watched soccer once (other than the World Cup and the Olympics) and that was last night, but I have adopted Chelsea FC already after I saw the rankings...gotta root for the underdogs...  ;)

I got this thing about burning daylight.   I hate to waste it.   I ride with some folks who 1) don't leave 'til 10 and 2) their first order of business is determining where to go to lunch.

I used to be the same way...maybe I'll get back to that after the newness of my current "position" wears off...  ;)

May of 2014...been somewhat busy with a lot of home projects that get me going early with contractors coming to the house, so when they aren't here, it's a good time to sleep-in...

Almost one year for me; end of this month will be one year anniversary.  Best year of my life.  I sleep much later than I used to when working but of course I used to get up between 5 and 6 so that's not really hard.  Usually around 8 but it varies.  The best thing was being able to stay up and watch all the west coast games the Nats lost this season.   :hysterical:

It's early.   :)     I've been out 3 years.   Most mornings, I don't get out of bed 'til at least 7.    I may wake up before that but I don't roll out before that.    I'm a morning (usually very early) person.     Used to be on the order of oh-dark-thirty.

There's something about games in LA and SF.   Maybe it reminds me of as a kid stashing my transistor radio under the pillow and listening to games at the Coliseum or Candlestick.

It was a tough lose but its a long season. West Ham have spent some good money this summer transfer window and are only going to get better once they move into their big stadium. They beat Arsenal 2-0 so they have the firepower to do it. What upset me was Coutinho getting a red card and will now miss the game vs United :?
