The articles I have seen generally say the umps get about 85 percent of the calls right. So there is probably one bad call in almost every at bat. My own eyes tell me that most of it benefits the pitchers nowadays. So if you are a batter need to swing at close ones with two strikes.

I don't know why they don't anyway. Fouling balls off/away is an art, maybe a lost one, so many damn taken strikes.

Rendon did that in the first at bat. Swung at a couple that might have been balls.  Will help in the long run.
