honestly, never heard of him at the time.  A little less mainstream than what I was getting exposed to.

I'll have to google him.
Ran for governor as an independent against Rick Perry maybe his last term.  had a better shot than whoever the Ds put up.

Sirius for AARP, or classic vinyl, or whatever it was called.

What a long strange trip it's been.

She's getting rediculously overexposed, but man that voice.  When we were young was really good.

FTFY ;) I know she's everywhere but man I can't hate on Adele, I sang Hello all through a very long and boring drive through Texas last week and never ever got tired of it.  This probably should go in the tv section but this was the first thing all year that SNL did that made me laugh out loud, Adele probably could save many Thanksgivings

that skit was awesome.  the best thing about her performance was the face she made at the end.

this is pretty cool too:

! No longer available

She comes off as incredibly humble and down to earth.

Adele's isolated vocals from her SNL performance of Hello - http://jezebel.com/here-are-the-isolated-vocals-from-adeles-legendary-snl-1744118267

Incredible.  The musical accompaniment is absolutely unnecessary.

I talked to my son last night and he was talking about going to some theater in Denver last week and seeing "The Last Waltz", I was like the movie about The Band?  He said no it's performers who recreate The Last Waltz or something, they apparently do it every year, anyway he was like "that music was so good!" I loved it that he was introduced to The Band the same way I was, by The Last Waltz :)

I think my favorite Band cut is "Up on Crippled Creek".    When I was at Ft. Polk, I got a 3 day pass for New Orleans.    We never passed Lake Charles, Louisiana.    :)

Missed that. I think it was at the Fillmore Theater out here. Heard it's a good time, though.

The Weight is probably my favorite, but I'm good with Up on Crippled Creek and The Shape I'm in.
