Indeed, if there is a "retooling year" we're in it. Especially regarding the replacement of Span with Taylor and of Fister with Ross.

Yeah, I don't know why anyone would expect next year to be significantly different from this year.

Reasons to be more pessimistic for 2016
Losing Zimmermann and Span
Scherzer is at mega-peak level and is likely to regress

Reasons to be more optimistic for 2016
Almost certain to get more out of the SS position (-0.6 WAR so far)
Almost certain to get more than we've gotten to this point out of Rendon, Werth and Zimmerman.
Probably will not get less out of the 3/4/5 slots in the rotation (4 WAR total from those slots)
