I'm really excited for this guy and Robles.

I really hope we get to see them at the same level at some point.

Stevenson went 1 for 4 yesterday at the Pfitz.  He was robbed the first time up of what would have been a sure triple with his speed by a diving catch from the CF.  The other two outs he hit hard also.  Had one ball hot over his head in CF that looked like he would have had a chance with a better jump but fell in for a double. No chances to see him run the bases.

After 149 ABs: .322/.378/.410.

If his glove is as good as advertised this kid sooner than later could force himself into CF or a 4th OF role. We have a pretty low bar in CF when, other than Span, your CFers over the past years have been guys like Ankiel, Bernadina, Willie Harris, Hairston, etc, etc.

Everyone talks about his range, but what about his arm?

Given his college experience, I wouldn't be surprised to see him get the bump to AA post-draft signings. Good stuff!

I've read he has a weak arm but his range and I make up for it. Next to Buxton maybe the bestimate defensive outfielder in the minor leagues.

So basically he is a 6'0 version of what Revere has been over his career?

Revere is fast but he isn't good defensively. He isn't terrible in center but he should be playing LF. Stevenson doesn't have a huge arm but I'm hoping his range and instincts are like Denard Span.

Defensively, more like Jacoby Ellsbury or AJ Pollack. Good routes, good speed, average arm.

Last night he went 1 for 2 with a triple, had 4 walks, stole 3 bases (25 for year) and scored 4 runs. Not bad for a leadoff hitter who is apparently a good defensive CF.

I get the sense he would move up if we had a place to put him. With Baustita at AA and Goodwin at AAA. Kinda stuck there.

If he's good enough, he'll bump them. But with Dusty at the helm, gonna be hard for any rookie to replace vets like Heisey or Revere, or even his pet experiment, Taylor. So, yes, he
is pretty much blocked right now.

Yeah, but Robles is knocking for a call-up too. I think everyone stays put for a bit, but if the new draftee Banks run through the system a bit too (another speedy college CF), we'll see.

I dont mean for the 25 man. I am talking just A to AA. Bautista has value has a lead off guy also and i believe the same age.

Goodwin can be nudged over to LF.

Exactly. If the organization wants to move up Robles, Stevenson, or Bautista they'll make room.

I think Robles moves up for sure this season to Potomac, even if he has to play in the corner outfield. Stevenson was just drafted last season but keeps producing so my guess is he is bumped up. Bautista is stealing bases at a ridiculous rate and even though his average is down he is drawing way more walks. He may be bumped up.

They can make room for guys if needed.

I hope Goodwin does start to play a bit in all 3 OF positions. Would be nice for him to get a call
