He's a lefty  but of course Phil Wood has already stated emphatically that 'Stevenson is a righthander all the way'.  So there you go.

With Robles promoted to Auburn, is a promotion for Stevenson to Hagerstown imminent?

You'd think so. Perkins playing more. Where's Wiseman?

Also at Auburn. He's played all his games in RF so far.

Where the hell is he? Hasn't been in any lineup since last week.

Now he is no longer on the Auburn roster and is not on the Hagerstown roster. WTF is going on?

He left the July 17 game for a pinch runner. That's the last news on him

He's listed on the GCL Nats roster. Sounds like an injury

EDIT: He played in the GCL game today. Left early so it sounds like a minor injury.

Hitting .347/.365/.469 in Hagerstown.  Lots of ground balls so that batting average is due to fall but the speed is real with 5 SB in 12 games.  Obviously the questions about his bat are still legitimate.

Now hitting .312/.345/.429 through 19 games, with 9 SB.

Amazingly, he has a 4/5 BB/K ration in 85 PA.

So, no power and no ability to walk.  I suppose he's a contact / speed / glove guy?  Billy Burns with an arm?

To be fair though, contact is a lot more meaningful when offense is down. CF averages in the NL are only .330/.401 this year. In 2005 it for CF it was .343/.437. The former you can pull off with an empty average, it's tougher to do the latter.

I mean to be fair Span hasn't exactly taken his walks either with the Nats at around 8% for his Nats career but I think it's something Stevenson will learn.  It's harder to teach contact than it is the strike zone

I hope "Billy Burns with an arm" is not too disparaging.  Burns is a starting CF whose average last I checked was still around .290.  I'm just a huge fan of Brett Butler, who played before the steroid takeover, and was hoping Stevenson would bring some walks along to be a high OBP guy.  By the way, what is the book on Stevenson's defense?

Span is another good model, but I think of him as having more BB and a bit more HR (4 - 8 in all but 1 of his 400+ PA seasons and 5 this year in 265 PAs) power than Burns.

Stevenson's defense is elite.  Best defensive outfielder in all of college ball last year.  If his bat doesn't become less pure athlete and more natural I think he projects as a fourth outfielder, but if his swing mechanics come around I think he can be a Juan Lagares type

I think Stevenson has all time great upside.  I see him as the future hit King and Harper as the future HR king
