He's all tools at this  point. Comparing him to Buxon is  not a remotely fair comparison. That would be like comparing Buxon to Harper/Trout and saying that Buxon is the number two outfielder.

Damn... Can't wait to watch this kid move thru the system!

Between Giolito, Turner and Robles that's a hell of a trio to have!

Not just tools; he needs to move up and prove himself but his stats so far are very impressive.  When you say he is all tools I think of someone who has not produced on the field.

Raul Mondesi is all tools. All tools means you haven't put it together at any level yet.

Robles is just young.

That literally describes Robles. Mondesi is MUCH further along than Robles right now.
Mondesi hit .243 in double A this year with .643 OPS. His stats at the lower levels were not as good as what Robles had this year.

Thanks. Good write up. Didn't realize we had Joan Baez in our system. Can he sing?

Nationals Low-A CF Victor Robles homered, walked, stole his third base of the year and threw out a runner at home. Man is he fun to watch.

I wonder if he has a small chance of a September callup.

he keeps out performing at every level.  Even though the sample sizes are short, he still has not struggled anywhere.  He'll be pressing for a promotion to high a by june

From Low A? Hardly.

He's 18 guys. How about we wait until he starts doing this in Double A before talking about making a MLB debut at the same age of guys like Ken Griffey Jr, Andruw Jones, and Bryce Harper?

He could turn into the mike trout that mike trout should've been before he got 40 homer power.  Maybe like 20 at his peak tops?

at some point we're going to have the "let Harper go because we have Robles" discussion. Ugh.

Talk about filling the stat sheet.

22/63 for a .349 average. 3 doubles, 3 triples and 2 HR. 11/14 in stolen bases. Maybe most impressive, he's doing it all with a 9/11 BB/K ratio AND has drawn 7(!) HBP.

Good lord.

I'm guessing a few of those HBPs are by annoyed pitchers trying to get even for him stealing on them.

Or just A-ball pitchers being A-ball pitchers  :hysterical:

Glad to see Robles tearing it up!
