It's totally our year, guys!
That was fast--our teams are always winners in the off-season!

Redskins are headed to the Super Bowl I believe also.  Expect big things from the Nats in 2016 also.

I see that we get to have the pre/post Thanksgiving and post Christmas games at home. I like those.

Well, I put in my 6 game Flex-Pack request with my ticket rep already, and it did not include October 15th.  Too hard for all of us to get to DC on a week night.  After all...it's for the children...  ;)

That's not to say that I may not sneak up there for that one...  ;)

From RMNB:

CSN Washington’s Chuck Gormley just broke the news that UFA’s Mike Green and Eric Fehr will be leaving the organization. Gormley spoke to Craif Oser, who represents both players.

“The Capitals have been open and transparent and honest and I think both players were clear in terms of their willingness and intention to stay if it was going to make sense,” Oser said to Gormley. “At the end of the day, it’s a decision by [the Capitals] as to how they make their best team and based on all the factors it wasn’t going to work out for Mike or Eric or the organization and both sides will continue to move on.”

I am now very sad.

Green, not so much.    Not sure why but I never took to him.

I am bummed that Ward is almost certainly gone. I can't really blame him if he does manage to rustle up a 4 year deal somewhere.

Green might have been useful for three on three ot

he'd be perfect at the "set up a beautiful 2-on-1 only to shoot the puck 3 feet over the gloveside, giving up a breakaway the other way"

would have been fun though. we'd be unstoppable in 3-on-3 i think.

I don't see any reason to use anyone like Orpik out there. too slow. We actually have a pretty quick D corps but I'd load up and go Burakosky-Kuznetsov-Johansson and Ovechkin-Backstrom-Laich or something.

I got a nickel says Carlson plays 1n 3/3 situations.

Damn...I really hate to lose F-16...hope we can keep Wardo...

Sadly I think both will leave. Both played themselves into nice paydays with terms longer than we should give out. I love both guys and am bummed they'll be gone.

Good riddance to Mike Green.

Sad to see Ward go.
