The all-star fan voting is a joke, there's no way it can't be. There's Royals players on the list at every position, evidently there's a bunch of losers in KC storming the voting.
...just like the Canadiens supporters stuffing the NHL ballot box a couple of years ago...and of course the premier baseball example, supporters of a second-division Cincinnati Reds team in the late 1950's placing eight of that team's players in the NL All-Star starting line-up (which embarrassed MLB so much that fan voting was discontinued for a decade thereafter). Just a sorry lot of people with no life and nothing better to do than sit in front of a computer keyboard or carry a smartphone round all day and keep hitting the submit button...a crass popularity and name-exposure-level contest.
