Linty you are wrong. Bryce is being targeted and it's unfair. Criminal

That's how life works.  If you cultivate the reputation of a gentlemen like Jeter, you get the benefit of the doubt.  If you're a hothead with a mouth, not so much.  The call was unfair, but not shocking they want to make an example of him.

Charlie and Dave saying much the same. The time rules are not to be used for punitive measures. Can't throw a guy for not being in the box.

Of course we don't know if Bryce called him a roostersucker or not.

This stemmed from Bryce arguing a strike call earlier in the same at-bat.

It was the first pitch of the AB.

Marvin Hudson didn't have to say anything to Bryce Harper because he wasn't in position for play to begin because he was screaming at the National's dugout.  The game couldn't go on until he was behind the catcher, which he wasn't.

Hudson knew he got the first call wrong and that's why he was arguing with the dugout.

He was 0-1 when he got tossed, with no foul balls.  So what strike call?

Harper was hosed, ump made it about him, it is a joke and MLB need to sort it - balls and strikes are not meant to be argued but when you are calling that you need to be suspended.

And that is the point I think Bryce was making when he was pointing at the box.

If I don't see Rizzo after this game on television, addressing this, I want him fired.

Pitch was low. Harper's reaction not why he was tossed. He got in the box, Hudson didn't resume play, Harper got out. Then Hudson tossed him

It's BS because the ump escalated the situation instead of containing it. If he gave Bryce some leeway and warned him.calmly it would be one thing. But he started yelling at him immediately as Bryce stepped away. After Bryce held it in.last night after getting a called strike when the ball was obviously close a foot outside, they shouldn't be looking to get in his face. I have to assume it all started because the ump had already warned the benches earlier about the chirping, so the tolerance level was zero. What sucks is that the Yankees are the freaking reason why games go on so damn long and nag about strikes all the time with no consequences.

In all seriousness, I want a gif of Williams childishly kicking dirt all over home plate.

Can someone there at the game get a "Hudson is an jerk" chant started?

That doesn't make it any more true.

No, of course not, but just interesting that both crews agreed on it.
